Project History

  • January 2004 - present. Rural Policy Research Institute and Community Information Resource Center. CIRC addresses the spatial and temporal dimensions of issues impacting rural America, by incorporating Internet-based geographic information systems, remote sensing technologies, and other data visualization and analytic tools, Project duties include: coordinating all activities between the Community Information Resource Center (CIRC) and CARES staff, developing customized internet mapping applications for stakeholders using ArcIMS and providing cartographic, technical and presentation support to CIRC stakeholders and staff.
  • January 2004 - March 2004. Commercial Agriculture Program. Performed analysis and produced cartographic output to support the publication of a report to the Missouri Department of Agriculture.
  • October 2002 - January 2004. Source Water Inventory Project. The intent of this project is to perform source water inventories as described in the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) Drinking Water Source Water Assessment Plan (SWAP). The project will focus on determining the scope of SWAP inventories, developing methodologies for performing the inventories and preparing data bases for contaminant inventory support. Work will be performed for both surface and ground water systems. By the end of the work period, a procedure for performing inventories will be in place that can be applied statewide. Project duties included web development, Avenue scripting, project coordination and field research.
