Project History

• 2005 Missouri Cooperative Soil Survey Project. Create a new General Soils Map for the State of Missouri.


• 2004 - 2005 Missouri Cooperative Soil Survey Project. Develop a Missouri Online Map Gallery. Project creates state, county, major land resource area, and 12 hydrological unit maps based on different soil definitions and queries. These maps can be selected from an interactive list as either .pdf or .png files, and are downloadable for printing or viewing.
  
• 2002 - 2004 Hypsography Project. Work-share project developing 1:24,000-scale contour layers and related spot elevation information in a digital format for the United States Geological Survey and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
  
• 2001 - 2002 Source Water Inventory Project. The intent of this project is to perform source water inventories as described in the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) Drinking Water Source Water Assessment Plan (SWAP). The project will focus on determining the scope of SWAP inventories, developing methodologies for performing the inventories and preparing data bases for contaminant inventory support. Work will be performed for both surface and ground water systems. By the end of the work period, a procedure for performing inventories will be in place that can be applied statewide.
