The primary CARES web server is a Dell PowerEdge 4600 with dual 2.4MHz HT Xeon processors, 4GB of RAM and a 476GB data drive (RAID 5) run by a PERC3/Di controller. The operating system (OS) is Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (SP2). Web server software is Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 6.0.
Our primary Internet map server (http://maproom.missouri.edu) is running ESRI's ArcIMS 9.3. This server is a Dell PowerEdge 2800. It has dual 2.8GHz HT Xeon processors, 4GB of RAM, and 409GB of RAID 5 storage space (4x146GB). The OS is Windows Server 2003 (SP2) with IIS 6.0.
The soils survey website (http://www.soilsurvey.org) is housed on a Dell PowerEdge 2900. It has dual 3GHz DC Xeon processors, 4 GB RAM and 409GB of RAID 5 data storage (4x146GB). The OS is Windows Server 2003 (SP2) with IIS 6.0.
The Community Issues Management (CIM) web applications (http://www.cim-network.org) are housed on a Dell PowerEdge 1950 III. It has dual 2.5GHz Quad Code Xeon processors, 8 GB RAM and 204GB of data storage. The OS is Windows Server 2003 (SP2) with IIS 6.0. The CIM data is stored on a Dell PowerEdge 2900 III server running Windows Server 2003 (SP2) using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the database engine. This database server has dual 25Ghz Xeons E5420 processors, 24 GB RAM and 6.4TB of RAID 5 data storage (8x1TB).
CARES's ArcGIS Server map services are served by a high-performace, Dell PowerEdge 2950 III. It has two 2.5GHZ Dual-Core Intel Xeon E5420 series processors, 16 GB RAM and 2TB of data storage. The OS is Windows Server 2003 (SP2) with IIS 6.0. It's running ESRI's ArcGIS Server 9.3.1.
